The Soft Touch Foam futon is well received for many reasons. Like other high density foam futons, the Soft Touch offers generous layers of foam as its inner core, but this one has an added “firm support” layer in the very center. But, it doesn’t stop there; where most other futons use a polypad to encase the inner materials, Gold Bond uses a Densified Polyester Batting which acts like millions of tiny springs that respond to your movement.
This Futon is different from all others. It is a High Density Foam Futon that Feels like an Innerspring. Some High Density Foam Futons have a soft, spongy feel; this one has a very supportive inner system that won’t sink down in when you sit and sleep. That doesn’t mean it’s not soft though; the use of Densified Polyester Batting provides you with a plush and cushy sensation. If you are concerned that a densified foam futon might be too soft or squishy, but you are unsure if an innerspring would be too firm or hard, this is a very happy medium to consider.
