This Leading Brand Futon delivers the Highest Quality and Comfort by using a Pressurized Foam System designed to significantly reduce the degree of compression that gives futons a bad wrap. Otis Bedding has utilized its knowledge in the Medical Industry along with the latest Advances in Technology to manufacture a line of high performance cushion and sleep systems. Many are finding these futons to be a great alternative to traditional bedding because they are noticeably supportive, regardless of the degree of firmness. Otis futons in general are more firm and supportive than other brands of Densified Foam futons because the materials are pressurized.
The Moonshadow, in comparison to other Otis futons, is thick, plushy, soft and resistant. When comparing Traditional style futons (Fibre-faom and Cotton), it is true that a thicker mattress is going deliver more comfort; with Otis products, that is not the case. All of their models are appropriately supportive and have a distinctly different feel. Regardless how you intend to use this futon, most people agree that this futon feels wonderful. It will give you the support you need and give you the same plushy feel as a good pillow-top mattress; it will absorb your body weight but resist compression as it does so. Opposite of the Stratosphere, taller individuals seem to prefer this futon over others futons because it will increase the space between the seating/sleeping surface and the floor. (Most standard futon covers will fit fine, but to eliminate any doubt, it’s recommended that your cover be ordered with a “larger loft.”
